Quests are text-based events that occur throughout normal gameplay, and offer particular rewards upon completion. Players may encounter a quest whenever they move onto a tile marked with a quest icon (a sword and shield marked with a red 'X'), at which point they are presented with a scenario and three choices on how to proceed. Depending on the player's choice, they may be rewarded with items, cards, or stat bonuses. These rewards are not visible in the dialogue tree, with the exact prize only being revealed once the player has made their decision. Each quest is clan-dependent, with every possible response specifically tailored to a particular species.
Once completed, another quest opportunity will reappear elsewhere on the map at random.
